The Studio Aesthetics Trainer is a full-time role that will be responsible for training and coaching new and existing aesthetician team members to ensure adherence to OVME protocols and the OVME way by providing assessments, hands-on demonstration, group training, and expert one-on-one coaching.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP The Studio Aesthetics Trainer will report to the Director of Education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach the OVME aesthetic protocols, product knowledge, and the OVME selling approach to build the business's health and reputation.
  • Work to improve the knowledge, skillset, and capabilities of the OVME aesthetician studio community through hands-on training or virtual training as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of learning content with an organization's reach.
  • Educate and coach to ensure the consistent delivery of the expert delivery of the aesthetics outcomes and the OVME Way Client Experience.
  • Support and cultivate the OVME culture and values of Memorable Experiences, Thinking Differently, Trust, Generosity, and Having Fun.
  • Participate and assist in executing new studio opening "boot camps" and other meetings as requested.
  • Maintain and improve practical skills and remain immersed in the OVME culture by providing services, at minimum, one day per week in his or her designated home studio.
  • May operate as a “rover” to fill temporary vacancies in other markets, as needed.
  • Misc. duties as assigned.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Requirements for the position To fulfill this role, the Studio Aesthetics Trainer will possess a broad range of hands-on aesthetics skills and experience in adult learning, along with skills including:
Education and Experience
  • A minimum of years of 7-10 years as an aesthetician in the medical aesthetics, beauty, spa industry
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience as an in-person and virtual trainer and coach, ideally in the aesthetics space.
  • Holds a current state license in good standing as an aesthetician, RN, MA or LPN
  • Experience as a service provider contributing to fast-paced growth trajectories within physician practices in dermatology, plastic surgery, and/or medical spa verticals is preferred.
Coaching and Training Skills
  • Build and maintain extensive working knowledge of OVME’s client and team member experience frameworks, as well as technical and retail product knowledge.
  • Maintain up-to-date training status logs and complete training checklists; Objectively assess the performance of aestheticians and debrief the Director of Education and Development following studio visits.
  • Train and coach new team members while creating and maintaining a safe space for candor and growth, both among groups and while training one-on-one.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of OVME protocols, and internal educational assets, and perform other administrative duties as delegated.
  • Requires exceptional presentation skills along with the ability to lead and develop learner-focused content and interactive learning experiences
  • The ideal candidate will possess experience and/or formal training in leadership and coaching in the following areas: sales, utilization and productivity, medical-grade, cosmetic retail product, Laser treatments, and RF Microneedling services.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills
  • Requires outstanding interpersonal, coaching, and listening skills with the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization. Thrives in a dynamic environment and has the ability to work on various projects simultaneously, requiring strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to remain objective, discrete, and exercise common sense at all times. Able to develop strong, trusting relationships within departments and across the organization.
  • Possess a high level of business acumen and/or a proven track record of high sales performance within industry verticals. Multiple years of experience in leading, growing, training, or managing cosmetic practices/medical spas are a plus.
